: If there is a demand at that ridiculous price (which I doubt), why can't the dealer make profit out of it? They would be stupid to just sit there charing MSRP to those in the waiting list who in turn make $100K+ profit by selling the car or the position in the waiting list. If the public is not willing to pay $300K, they will lower the markup.
