I was under the impression the SLR was not going to produced until 2003, in which case any discussion regarding the merits of the SLR over the Z8 are moot for the next two years at least. For anyone that will be able to afford the SLR (just guessing it is going to be considerably higher priced than the Z8 given it's McClaren heritage), they should just buy both the SLR AND the Z8 to avoid any agonizing over the choices available.

: While I personally am not looking at the Z8 or SLR, are any of you perspective Z8 owners looking at both of these vehicles? What are your impressions of the 2 cars?
