I agree with Jim (archive)

There are always the sad few who only get off by trashing others and their opinion. In our case my wife and I have owned five BMWs and five MB cars. Other than the old 318, which we had lots of problems finding good maintenance for 15-20 years ago, we have loved all of them.

My first 740 saved my life in a 45MPH head on. While our current M Roadster isn't the fastest car either, so what? It is a kick in the ass to drive and "she who must be obeyed" won't let me sell it when the Z8 arrives. We'll jst have to have more fun. My BMW experince has been great and I'm looking forward to more with the Z8.

Yep the Turbos will beat me, but I will have the top down, and they won't!

: I'm gonna get FLAMED for this one. I'm new to bimmer.org, and was just looking around the forums. I'm not saying that everyone here is a total dick, but there's a few... Like Mr "Your 540 is a bigger piece of shit" and the guys claiming to know it all. There's a lot of you out there. This is just a message to all the flamers and others who think they are God: BMW's are great machines. I've owned and driven many more than the average person. I've seen and driven all but the E21 3-series cars, 525, 528, an older 535, a '91 ///M5 and 540i's, a 735iL and two 750 iL's, one of which was mine. They're all great. But i love my iX. The point is, why trash each other's cars? Isnit this a forum for discussion of problems, how to fix stuff, where to sell stuff, or buy stuff? I mean, likely about 2 of you will ever own a Z8 (maybe more, i dont know) and youre saying things like the 540 is a POS? I'm going back to my old board. Sorry to disturb you all.
