And the very fact that it is a mid-engine car says that it will have very nuetral handling right up to the limit, and then the car goes balistic. Mid-engine cars are great, but the traditional sports car is front-engine, rear-wheel drive. And spare me the fact that the Z8 is front-mid-engine. The engine is under the hood in front. Two other things, the 911 isn't the best thing since sliced bread, so not everyone wants one like you do. And the E46 M3 has not been released yet, not to mention it will not be nearly as unique as the Z8, nor will there be a convertible for at least another year. You know what....why am I even bothering to reply to this message. It makes no sense. You start out trying to dictate to everyone that they should by a Boxster S, and then go on rambling about the fact that no one should ever buy a convertible because they're too dangerouse to drive fast. Ever heard of roll bars, airbags, or just a driver who might know what they're doing? You probably haven't ever thought that hard. Nothing against the mid-engine cars by the way.

I agree with the Ultimate answer above. How can you possibly compare the Z8 with the Boxter S. That is a ridiculous statement. The Z8 is obviously a classic one of a kind car which is built to be an out of class performence car. The Boxter S a great car is not even in the same class. I however, at this time in my life can not afford the Z8. So my 540 6spd will have to do for now...just waiting until that day...
