Holy moly! Sounds like you parked in a pretty rough neighborhood... Unfortunately, I'll bet that isn't the case, i.e. you parked it in what you thought was a decent area. This kind of social envy gets my blood boiling. Yes, you're driving a car that many others can't afford, but chances are that you earned it.

Getting slightly off topic, and onto a rant here, but... there are a lot of very fancy cars here in Silicon Valley, but as far as I'm concerned, the people who work 70+ hour weeks deserve to treat themselves. The media always focuses on how much money people in Silicon Valley make -- nobody ever mentions the countless hours spent working into the nights and weekends... PBS recently showed an excellent documentary ("Code Rush") about what it's really like to work in Silicon Valley. You can get the video from PBS -- link below...
