A BMW M1 can be had for ~$75,000. Perhaps the M1 prototype could run 7 figures, but I don't see BMW putting that up for sale. 507 for $1 million? Only if it's the 507 that was owned by Elvis Presley (and even then, I wouldn't be sure it would hit 7 figures). I've seen classics like the 328 roadster and these won't climb anywhere near the million-mark.

: It does not take a genius to figure out Ferrari owners have money. But, expensive Ferrari's have been purchased by serious sportscar buyers world-wide for over 50 years. By far it the most respected name in performance road cars and race cars. Yes, the NASDAQ may have created some new buyers recently. But long after the Z8 is history Ferrari will still be the best and most desireable automobiles. Make no mistake, if any high-price car is reflective of the economy its the Z8. Many vintage Ferrari's sell for over a million dollars. I don't know of any BMW that can make that claim!
