Getting a Z8 (archive)

this may be a joke to you guys or maybe i have heard wrong, but according to a local dealer it is impossible for me to purchase a z8 with the original engine (version coming out this year and next).

I was told that there will be 350 this year and 300 next year, there are none left all are spoken for and he can not get one is this true??? if it is will someone please present me with other options of obtaining one or reasons why the following versions may be better or just the same?
