There is a recourse on insulting posts. This is very easy if the insult comes from an AOL user. All you have to do is copy the text of the post, get the IP address, and the date/time. Send a complaint to: TOSMAIL@aol.com

AOL will issue a warning to the account holder, then if multiple complaints are received, the account will be terminated.

Also, you can ALMOST (depends on whether the address is spoofed, etc) always have recourse by finding the ISP from the IP address and then mailing the ISP webmaster with a detail of the posting. Most will warn the user, who, if after enough complaints, will be terminated. Also, if you are IP port/prot. savvy enough you have all kinds of "ALTERNATE" remedies (Ima cracker, you're a cracker).
