The Rejional SVP for BMW NA told me several weeks ago that BMW had put a "hold" on the release of any Z8 from their respective VPCs. He believed at the time that this was to allow the West Coast cars to reach Oxnard (7/10 & 7/11). He felt the hold would be lifted as soon as the Oxnard cars cleared customs.

I'll Let you know if I hear anything else, including when my car leaves the VPC.
