That is for the most part untrue. There is a concern over handling at extreme speeds ,but it is not delaying the car at all , especially for the states. The rear airfoil for the car which when up look almost like the trunk lid is not full closed was just a concept that had a spy photo taken of it. They obviously decided they didnt need it because they went ahead and built 100 or so cars without it. I'll let you know if my car doesnt get here friday :)

I have been told the delay in delivering Z8s has been due to instability at speeds around 150 mph (similar to the Audi TT problems). It sounds like BMW is fitting the cars with a rear spoiler and that is what the delay is.


WOW - this is another story I already read in the German magazine auto, motor & sport a couple of months ago. they even had a spy photo from the Z8 with the rear spoiler. Ugly, very ugly and it seems unfortunately to be another proof that this car is a real beauty but anything but high-tech.
The BMW guys and especially Mr.Bangle should face the fact that design is not everything :-(
