I have been told the delay in delivering Z8s has been due to instability at speeds around 150 mph (similar to the Audi TT problems). It sounds like BMW is fitting the cars with a rear spoiler and that is what the delay is.

This “rumor” first surfaced in this country in the Rondel with a copy of the spy photo showing an airfoil. I personally asked Henrik Fisker if there was any truth to the rumor that there was an “Audi TT” problem with the car. Henrik said, as already posted, that this was a concept that they tested to see of performance could be improved. He stated that the performance deteriorated with the airfoil. There were absolutely no performance issues at all. No plans what-so-ever to install airfoils.

His “proof” was the fact that every single member of the board of directors had driven the car at maximum speed at Nuerburgring without incident. This is just a BS rumor without merit or any facts to back it up other than “there must be something BAD if they are not delivering the cars!”
