I understood the problem was at speeds around 150mph (just under the speed limiter).
Would be right if it had been 240 km/h (=150mph), but 200km/h is only 125 mph.
Yeah I did notice the discrepancy in speeds (I knew 220 km/h was not = to 150 mph). Just passing on what I heard.
However, personally I would not accept either one or the other.
Maybe this is not so much an issue in the U.S., but a REAL BIG issue in Germany.
Sure it is. Audi had the same issue with the TT and whoever in their infinite wisdom (and the Audi lawyer asleep at the wheel) initally decided NOT to retrofit the fixes to the US cars because the problem was at 120 mph (not sure the exact speed). Can you imagine the lawsuit if somebody in the US killed themselves because of that problem??? It would have been ugly (and the lawyer that let the no fix in US slip by would have been canned in a heartbeat).
Whatever BMW does to fix this in Germany they will have to do in the US. And like I said, I was told shipping has been delayed to retrofit spoilers. I could be wrong however. We will see.
