Although I am still waiting for my Z8 to be shipped from the port in New Jersey ( Someday !), I can relate to the problem you are experiencing with the rear vinyl window. This is not a fault but rather one of the downsides of having a non-glass rear window. My M Roadster had an identical condition. It is usualy caused by heat when the top is in the stowed position and the vinyl ' out-gases ' causing a fogging to the material. It usually does it less in cooler weather and when the top is kept in the up position. It can also do it when the car is stored and garaged for long periods without the doors or windows being opened very often. The fix is rather straight forward and actually postpones the problem to some degree. BMW in the US sells a kit to clean and polish vinyl rear windows. It is actually made be Meguires Car Care. It is a two step process . First and only apply the cleaner to a washed and clean window. The clarity will almost initialy get worse prior to using the polish. Once the polish is applied you should see a crystal clear window that you may have to treat every 6-8 weeks to maintain. If Meguires is not available in the UK I believe Autoglym makes a similar product. Short of your few issues with the Z8 how do you like it? We are all envious this side of the pond and would very much appreciate some user feedback. Good luck.
