Z8 Bob, based on the photos that were posted on the forum, it does appear that the non-plated nose of the cars do look 'clean' ( no holes, plugs etc.). I also live in a two plate state but drive with only the rear and agree with you that the front plate can only detract from the looks of the car especially if it is mounted into the kidney grill. Z8 Bob, I have also heard that engine management/certification seems to be an issue that requires a reprograming of the EPROM Chip. Have you heard this ?

At this point nothing would surpise me, but no I have not heard that. Since the motor is the same as the M5, and has been coming in to the states now for several months, I personally think that those problems should have been solved by now unless BMW has been tinkering with the engine just in the Z8.

BTW I agree with you on the plastic windscreen. I also always keep the flannel cover over the window when the top is down. Seems to help a lot.
