True... but 40K for a car wasn't bad considering that I make 750K per year. I will not only be out of debt by the end of next year but will have all cars (my 330Ci and wife's Acura CL TypeS) and house paid for plus have money in stocks. (Though, I may delay paying those off completely and investing that money instead.) In any case, everything is going into stocks/funds. In 5 years time, I should have enough wealth accumulated to afford a Z8. I don't think that I am living beyond my means. My wife works too. She is an OB/GYN and makes about 200K/year. If anything, I feel that we could live a little more extravagently than vice versa.
As for Wifey's spending habits, I am thinking about trying a budgeting technique with her. Since she is oblivious to the value of money, I am going to try to set a spending budget which we can not surpass each month. How have any of you dealt with an overzealous wife?
