Funny. BMW people show up on Porsche sites but rarely claim anything other than envy. Porschephiles have complained for years that the newer cars are to luxurious. Teutonic cars have always been sparse, asthenticlly speaking.

Well, looks would be one factor in my book. Obviously esthetics are a concern, else your screen name would be "blownmavericklover" since anyone knows that you can take an old Ford Maverick and tune it to beat any production car made. As I stated to someone else, I like the engineering of Porsches, but find them "frogish" in their looks. Everything is taste, and thank God not everyone has the same taste, else we would all be driving "generic" cars. Why is it people have to constantly come on BMW boards and toute their Porsche or Ferrari? Are there that many of the BMW people going to their boards doing the same? If so, we should all be respecting each other's opinions, loves, etc., and allowing us the freedom to worship the car of OUR choice without bashing or trying to "convert" others. That is an ego issue that is not too subtly concealed.

Jim S.

I presume you know that you can't outperform a 996tt with a Z8. So what are you talking about looks?
