As a Porsche lover, you really will never get the point. I love and have and have had all kinds of cars. I have owned many a Porsche...for a short time.

My wife had a Boxster....Yuk

My fellow director has had his New 996 Turbo for 2 months. fast dynamic wonderful car..... and now he and wants a Z8 after seeing mine. You work it out.

This is not just about speed, its about a feeling....

If you like your car...and it does it for you, fine. But just because it does it for you doesn't make it the best OR even better than another. I personally can't get excited about a VW Bug on steroids, but again thats just my opinion. Everything in life is a choice. That choice has percieved value. If the only way someone can get one is to pay X amount, so be it, if it is worth it to them.

An example being that if you were told tomorrow you had a month to live what would you care about your car, house, cash in the bank or this forum; you would care about time, something we might take for granted now. If the percieved value of your Porsche was that of the Z8 you could ask more than $175K couldn't you. Why, if it is so good, is it so cheap? It isn't so disirable at this moment so you can't. Because it's just another Porsche.Been there done that.

I am sure they have a 996 forum. Maybe you would find more sympathetic views their.

Have a great day sir.......
