My dealer's HI store sold their only 2000 Z8 to a San Franciso buyer, who will ship it from HI to CA, for $239,000. They called the dealership I got mine from for the sales tax and license calculation. My dealer has purchased 4 cars from other dealers. The last two were for $200,000 (i.e. wholesale dealer to dealer). You may find all this hard to accept but it is true none the less.

There has not been one single proof of a real deal at $200k or higher, at least not on this board - there was not even any posting about a done deal significantly higher than list price yet, only things like "I've heard that a dealer asked for...", "there was somebody in CA..." and so on. Not very impressive IMO.
