It's real life experience. A local M5 dusted a 360 at stoplight(both pilled out at full throttle, I am sure, as both leave some impressively long rubber "artwork" on the pavement), and from experience, that M5 pulled a 0-60 time of about 4.8 sec(and that driver is GOOD), and that 360 is either short of power, or the driver is bad at shifting......

BMW and Mercedes tend to under-rated their cars, so don't be fool by the factory numbers.....

All in All, they are 2 different cars, IMO. Z8 is in a class of its own, and really can't be compared....
