If any, there might be a problem with the warranty which the dealer should be able to cover. Besides that, it never was and probably never will be a big issue to import cars from Europe. Just a question of the appropriate know-how.
The N.Y. area is an excellent place to find good and reliable dealers for cars of any kind, BMW as well as Ferrari and Porsche. You'll be able to get almost every car you want instantly delivered.
