the next year. About 2000 M5's were sold in the U.S. during the first U.S. 2000 production year. Demand for the M5 has started to decline. I'm told 400 Z8's will be shipped to the U.S. in the first year at an MSRP of about double the M5. How many people really want the car for something other than speculation, and can afford it? I find it hard to belive that it's more than 20% of those purchasing an M5!
