No dipstick recall here (yet?). I am informed that the hard tops have arrived at the NJ VPC and should begin distribution in the Eastern USA in a week or so. All tops should be to the current owners by the end of November. I would say you should be seeing your in the UK in the next 30 days as well.

Still love the car?? How much oil burned since the 1,200 inspection?

Just passed 4000 miles. Still no hard top and its getting cold here.
Pinking at start I am assured is the vanos unit starting without oil, and nothing to worry about!

Engine is noticibly starting to loosen now. After the initial tip toeing of a new car....I now drive it with the sport button LED permanently ON...!! It does not affect the steering though...only the accelerator pedal. Maybe you have it different in the US?

Only other thing is a BMW recall to change the dipstick? No reason given.
