I received a 1/18th scale BMW Z8 for my birthday last week. My wife felt that it would somehow ease the long wait for the real thing.
It is deatailed and Stunning. Doors, trunk, and hood open. There are real reflective pieces in the rear view and side mirrors. Real carpet in the interior,with working steering wheel and tires.

Of course it is done in stunning silver/red combo with European specifications. The enging bay is detailed enough to identify major components.

It has helped me make the decision to either get the silver/red combo or the Stratus Grey/red combo if available. The red is stunning, even in 1/18th scale.

As I shift into virual first gear and corner around the paperclips on my desk, while barely missing the phone, I can now appreciate the superb character of the z8 :).

My wife was right, now I have a permanent replica to ease my yearning until the real thing gets here. :)
