The answer is no, I have not driven the car. The comments are based on various literature I've managed to read (or watch on TV) so far.
Here is a anology; I don't need to hit myself on the head to discover that it hurts.
I have driven a couple of outstanding cars over the past 30 years (namely the Ferrari Daytona in Europe at VERY high rates of speed on the autoroutes as well as on twisty secondary routes, and a Viper in the middle of Nevada at night (175mph - horrible lights). That should give me some idea or goals as to what the sport cars can be.
That said, your question of whether I've driven the Z8 is unfortunate. The question you should have asked is, "Would you want to own one?"
The answer is, no! To me, whether I would want to own one or not is most important.
I've seen two Z8 in Toronto, and I recognize them as quite good autos. I turn my head to check them out, but that's about it. There is also an Aston Martin DB7 in my neighbourhood. Now, every time it goes by, it leaves me with a very long drool trail on the chin, and my blood pressure skyrockets. Why? Because it is a car I would LOVE to own. That's why! Not because it may be "better" or "worse" (mechanically, ie), but because it INSPIRES me. It means that I would nearly kill to own one. Unfortunatley, the Z8 does not leave me with such feelings or emotion.
If you like your Z8, that's fine with me. All I am saying, is that it does not get my blood boiling. I hope you understand that. Like I said, I don't need to drive the car to know whether I would like it or not.
Cheers.
