Sounds much like my father's Maserati, years ago. I am sorry I can remember the name of it, it was around 1978. I remember driving the Taconic (A long country roadway, two lanes on each side of a wide grassy lane) and seeing the traffic pattern ahead, planning my path, and passing traffic before they had a chance to think of changing lanes.
Still, I enjoy the "'driving experience', 'road-feel', call it what you will" in my 3 year old 2.8 more than anything I have ever driven.
I know looking at my car even now takes my breath away every time. If I had a Z8 I think I'd need to carry along a respirator ;)
Thanks again
Rachel
.. depends on what you like ...
very very powerful. One motoring journalist described it as "like being attached to the horizon with a big bungy-rope". That aspect is wondeful. It inspires so much confidence and when it comes to overtaking it's more like a motorbike than a car !
Downsides: (personally) I don't find it as comfortable as the M-Roadster and I don't think the 'driving experience', 'road-feel', call it what you will, is as sporty as the m-roadster. But, get it over 95mph on a bendy-windy road and it starts to feel wonderful and give lots of positive feed-back.

Adam.
Your pics are wonderful, congratulations! I am sorry if you already posted about your pick up and first drive, I don't come to the Z8 board much.
Has anyone posted any photos of Z8s in non-standard colors?
Thanks and enjoy!
I've FINALLY put my photos of the car with hardtop up on the net. Take a look at

There is a series of pics taken up in North Wales and one outside the dealership during 'hand-over'.
They are quite hi-res photos and will take a while to load unless you ahve a fast link.
Regards
Adam.
