I've read around this A LOT !
The BEL 990 has excellent reviews (model up from 980 which also has first class reviews).

I the UK Laser-traps are becomming the norm and are lethal. Laser is virtually impossible to detect until you've been 'hit'. The laser light does not spread-out or diffuse so your detector will only tell you that you've been got !! Bit late then. Naughty but jamming is the only solution. The only jammer which seems to work in every situation is the Blinder MK10 Twin. Go and have a look at their site. www.blinder.dk
Oddly, there doesn't seem to be a reliable RADAR jammer.
In the UK there is a GPS gadget available which holds a store of all the fixed speedtraps in the UK. It called something like the GEODESEY and you can read about this on the UKSPEEDTRAPS site shown below.

Hope this helps.

Do you guys have any recommendations for a reliable top notch radar detector to use with this Bad Boy?
I currently use a built in K-40 with my 540I 6speed, but have no intention of interfering with the Z8 in any such manner.
Thanks in Advance.
