I cant speak about the motives, but I have heard that they are increasing USA allocation for MY 2001. This is different than steping up production in that they are taking allocation from other markets. This is because they can only make so many Z8s and then thats it. So figure that MY 2000 has around 400 USA Z8s, maybe MY 2001 gets around 600-800. Still gonna be rare....
