good question ! I have never tried to get a warranty on non-US BMW, but I imagine they will say NO. The reason is simple, the BMWNA makes a profit on cars imported by themselfs and therefore they get the money for warranty repairs from BMW germany. If the car was imported by an independent company then no profit, no money for BMW NA. They will simply say no and if they are men, they will not even help you with parts. The ETK manual shows you both type of parts (euro and US) but sometimes they are just mean and don't want to help you out ! I guess that is a price you have to pay for "cheaper" price. Actually this is silly, beacuse you can still order your own Z8 from a dealer at 128k but you'll have to wait... maybe a long time though ! I don't know , maybe they are really very good cars but for close to 300K (real US spec) there are many great cars available ! As much as I love the BMW , I'd never pay more then an MSRP for Z8 but that's me and without a Z8.
