From what I am told in the UK, BMW Germany will honour a one year warranty anywhere in the world, but only to the value of the warranty claim in the original country of sale.

If it costs them $100 to send a $3.00 part by UPS, or the labour rates are different, then you pay the difference...be warned.

It is all, I am told governed by a "goodwill" policy.
