There are no external markings designating the car model. Purely a "purist" touch (snob appeal?). The only place is says "Z8" anywhere is between the seats and on the back of the key.

The center logo itself was supposed to be personalized (car # or initials)for the car owner but BMW has been having trouble comming up with a quality custom piece. There is no word on its ETA, if ever.

What's the deal with the z8 logo on the back of the z8? On all the z8's in real life I've seen (all 2 of them), they both did not have the z8 logo on the back. However, in pictures, I have seen some z8's with the z8 logo on the back. Can someone please fill me in?
