On the plastic window- seems all cars with plastic windows have this problem. I know they had a design restraint that forced them to go with plastic. I knew this would be an issue before I even got the car- so I didnt feel the need to report it to the dealer. If it ever gets terribly bad, you can have them swap it out for a new one because I notice its on a zipper. I think theres a website that has a cleaner for plastic windows- www.properautocare.com - they have other stuff also. Ive not ordered from them- yet :) Btw- mine was completely transparent when it was new- it has gotten slightly "foggy" from scratches, etc as Ive had the top up and down over the course of months. If yours came this way, you should get it replaced.phone- I have the motorola star tac. With the top up Id say its adequate. Ive made several calls in the car and no ones said they couldnt hear me and I had no problem hearing the other party. I would like it a little louder but thats just how it is. So Ive not felt the need to report that either. There might be a service mode that the dealer can adjust the phone volume in.
I dont find any of this shocking. Yes its expensive, etc- but its still a car. If there was a problem with the engine, doors, transmission, etc, that would be shocking. I can understand being a little peturbed about the window, and the phone and my am/fm reception is too bad, but these things are merely afterthoughts on this car. Ill tell you something, I normally knock off several business calls when Im driving my daily driver. When in the Z8 the phone is the fartest thing from my mind.
