The McLaren F1 also uses 'just a BMW' engine. However, there is a big difference between a BMW and a McLaren. The same is applicable to the Rolls Royce. I don't doubt that BMW creates superior engineering, it's just that the overall car is not the same as a typical BMW. For instance, both the Mclaren and Rolls Royce are handbuilt. Just my own two cents.
