I havent had the freezing problem, but Ive found a few little silly things that happen with my Z8 as well. Sometimes when a passenger gets in, the window goes down, they get in, they close the door, and the window goes 99% of the way up. Its weird because it only happens every once in a while. As to the freezing door problem, the only things that come to mind (beyond garage) are to see if the dealer knows what might help and perhaps try pouring some hot water on the window before you get in- I know this is a little absurd- maybe you could try applying some windshield washing fluid to the window before you get out at night, bring the window down all the way and then up- then the antifreeze in this fluid might keep the window from freezing up. One other thought- maybe you could leave the window a crack open? (I know this isnt the most secure thing to do)

Ive read about and even know some X5 owners who have a similar problem- the doors somehow "freeze" shut when its really cold- they cant get into their SUV.. I mean SAVs.... good luck, let us know what happens.
