give more than one phone with the same number. At one time there was a grey market for this kind of thing but because of some much cell phone fraud, the ability to have a second phone with the same number was eliminated due to security issues.

You may also find that PCS does not work in your Z8. The two systwms that do are CDMA & TDMA and then only with a BMW phone. I have been trying to get a dual band unit for mine as my 2001 740iL has that system. As a result I can have AT&T one rate (which usually requires a tri-band phone) If I can get the Z8 retro fit for dual band, I can them have a single number and move it from car to car, or just fly away with the handset. I do need an analogue phone (the second of the 2 bands) since I occasionally travel to areas not served by digital service.

Hope this helps. I'll let you know when and if I get this figured out.

Bob

I would appreciate any recommendations on mobile phone providers that allow having multiple phones on one account with the same phone number. I currently use AT&T & those jerks are refusing to add my second phone to the account. So I figure I will have to fire them.
This phone will be in the z8 and since I will use the car less than my daily driver I prefer to avoid opening a separate account for the z8.
Thanks in Advance.
