The phone is not a standard StartTac. That is why the car comes with the phone. Special software has been put into the phone in order to download the phonebook into the multi-function radio. A standard StarTac will continually be reset by the computer in the radio requesting the phone to perform functions (downlad phonebook) which it doesn't understand or was programmed to do. That is why it resets over and over. You have to use the phone it comes with. WHICH, by the way, is useless when the engine is running because of the inadequate speaker volume.
