How about all that stuff on E-Bay? Should those sellers have price controls that cap reserves at the original list? If a dealer found a BMW 507 that had been in storage for 40+ years, would you expect him to sell it for the original list price? I think not. What's different about the Z-8 besides the lapse of time? You can't order any more of either one. So why shouldn't the prices be set at a point so that demand is equal to the supply. No one is holding a gun to anyone's head here - just following the principles of Economics 101. I paid list for my Z-8, and wouldn't have paid more, and that's my perogative. But I don't want anyone telling me that I've got to refuse offers above what I paid? There is one in autoweek with the same miles, way less money!!! If i remember,$140,000. The dealers are very greedy.
