I recently purchased a 2001 Z8. It currently has 175 miles on it. I went to start it the other day and the battery was dead. I called the dealer and was told that "this is a normal occurance for this car if you don't start or drive it regularly". I hadn't started it in about a week. They said that the computers on the car are a constant drain on the battery, They then sold me an auto shut-off charger. Has anyone else heard of or experienced this problem??

FYI on 2/19 the dealer replaced my battery under warranty. I went out to the car today after not having driven it for a week and the battery is dead again! Even though the dealer said that there was no problem with the drain when the car was shut down, something is draining the juice. Has anyone gotten a definitive answer to this problem?
