I'm in Canada, and have the production number for my
Z8 being built this month. I tried joining the owners
circle at bmwusa.com, but it didn't recognize the
number.

Anything else I can do with it?

See if Bmw Of Canada has an owners circle, I think it should work there. If not your dealer uses that number to keep up with your different status codes as the car progresses through the production facility.
