Agree.The z8 should be fine. I for one do not believe that it is prudent to play with money needed for basic needs.
People buying a 100+K car are probably not counting(if they are wise) on a job to pay for them. I have several associates that own fine cars and they basically bought them outright. They had the money, then went shopping.
Point being at the high end economic slowdowns actually allow those who can afford luxury items to get really good deals.:).

There are two things going on in the states--asset prices falling, which is bad, and jobs being lost, which is just beginning and is much worse. At the high end there will be less demand for 'prestige' vehicles, but the z8 is so limited that i would doubt to see them fall much below sticker. At that point BMW would probably think about cutting production rather than have the car diluted in the market. Other cars like the M5 which are much less exclusive are probably more at risk. Sales of 5 series have already started slowing and will likely continue.
