Got my new 2001 M5, jet blk w/ blk sport interior. all options. The beast is all it's supposed to be .

In case anyone's looking for a Z8 though, the same place I bought my M5 has a jet black Z8 on the floor, with the MSRP 130k + 25k markup. So far, that +25k is the lowest I've found in California.

Anyway, the unique thing is that apparently the +25 isn't that much a rip off because supposedly the owner of this place is real big on charity. The deal is if you buy a Z8, you write two checks - one for the Z8 at sticker price, which means all the taxes, financing, etc. are calculated using the MSRP price, and another check for the +25k made out to a charity of the dealership owner's choice.

However, since it's your check, you get the charity contribution writeoff for your IRS taxes. Ok, so it's still over MSRP, but strangely I don't feel I'd be getting screwed on this type of "over MSRP" markup.

Anyone else hear of other dealers doing strange things like this?
