I have bought several BMWs from Irvine and have always got great deals, exceptional service on all of the cars, and have never been treated rudely by Rodger or anyone else there. I suspect that after you gave Rodger your opinion about markups on M3s etc., he failed to plead with you to buy the car below MSRP. That must have really ticked you off. My experience with people is that you get what you give. If you walk in with a chip on your shoulder, someone is likely to knock it off.

Attitude is everything. I have no financial interest in Irvine BMW, or any other dealer. But I do care about the people there and in return I get deals and treatment that beat anything you could ever hope to achieve with a lousy attitude. Keep up to good work, there are lots of folks who take advantage of opportunities created by the screamers of the world.
