My contacts include VPs and a SVP of BMWNA. The SVP says that ALL hardtop backorders should be available for shipment to the dealer by the end of this month. It will not be shipped until requested, since this is a very large container, and often the original dealer did not retail the car.

If your dealer is still in the dark, I suggest you logon the the DriverCircle at BMWUSA.com and send a priority email. As a Z8 owner I have always gotten a response in less than 24 hours.

If you still can't get anywhere, drop me a note with your VIN and I will pass it along to the folks who will have the answers.

2000,BOUGHT IN LATE AUGUST,CALLED BMW TWICE,I CAN FIND MORE INFO FROM THE FORUM TAN I CAN BMW CONSUMER AFFAIRS!!!!!!!
