First: check all for tires for correct pressure, adjust as needed (note that the tires require different pressure front & rear).

Second: follow the owners manual proceedure for recalibration of the pressure sensor (the car does not really sense pressure it monitors wheel rotation). That should do it. If the light comes on again, go to the dealer.

This happend to me the first time I pushed the car a little on a twisty mountain road, crept home. Once i recalibrated it has not happend again >5,000 miles.

Hello all,

I was tootling around this morning and took a corner pretty hard in a turn. The tire pressure warning light came on and stayed on (even when I turned the car off and on). I immediately went home. Does this mean that a tire was punctured? I guess I'm on my way to BMW of Bellevue on Monday to get it looked at.
