I had two hardtops delivered to the dealer and both were damaged. Check the two points at the rear of the unit. The packaging of this part is extremely inadequate.

My car was delivered with the hardtop yesterday, but the dealer has another Z8 in the showroom floor and they were still waiting for its hardtop.

Parts department said they were still waiting on hardtops for a couple of earlier delivered cars, so it would appear BMW is not caught up yet.
