I think there is a question- if there was no question youd not feel the need to even post something.

The 8 Series is a very handsome car and while not a financial success for BMW, there is a reason those who buy them stick with them.

It is/was a modern design and its a fixed top design.

Compare to the Z8, which is a retro rag top design. Very different things. You might as well compare a hockey player to a baseball player.

So the retro doesnt appeal to you- you should be happy with the new 6 which is said to be very modern looking, as will the entire new fleet of BMWs- they are now done with retro for the forseeable future
