on the battery, then the next logical step is to test the ability of your battery to hold a charge. Some batteries that have been allowed to undergo heavy sulphation or discharge will at some point lose the ability to hold a charge.
2. You must put back what you take out. If you use heavy electronics with the motor of, say raising the softop & etc. sometimes the battery will say go down to 12.3volts, well this will start the car, but if you continue to use the electronics in that manner, then the battery may stay at 12.3 for a longer duration than say 12.9v. At 12.3 sulphation can begin. Now if the car is not driven long enough at good speeds the battery is never fully charged by the system. If this is familiar, then you must have the car on a battery tender that will properly charge the battery and maintain a float charge. Do not get the kind that charges the battery and allows it to discharge before charging again.
I am not suggesting that this is what you do, but review how you've been using the car and how much driving you do after such use.
3. You may just have a dead battery has been discharged too many times and can no longer hold a charge.
Talk to the techs at your dealer over phone and discuss your scenarios with them.
On my Z8 that I drive frequently, I have had no problems. Whenever it is stored more than a few days, I hook it up to a battery minder.

Hello all,

I went out to start my Z8 yesterday and it was dead as a doorknob. Any ideas out there? In the past, I've let the car sit for 2-3 weeks at a time with absolutely no problems. This time, the car was sitting for 4 days. I didn't have the phone plugged in and I couldn't see anything "on" in the car.

I bought a trickle charger and will get the car fired up today and drive it a bit to see what happens.

Thank you!
