Ive never had this problem in any BMW- I think its a good idea to let the dealer have a shot at it, but my guess is that they're going to want to try to replicate the problem, so maybe its best for you to drive the car for a few hours before you bring it in instead of having them drive it for that time, unless you want to do them a really nice favour!
