I had this problem also. My dealer said there is a service bulletin on it -- something about the phone not going to sleep properly and draining the battery after about a week. The first time I got in my car, it had one mile and had not been started for two weeks. Dead, dead, dead. Took three batteries to jump!

Solution for me was to disconnect the 7000 series wiring harness, get an 8000 phone which I use as a pocket phone, get on the list for the 8000 wiring harness that have been promised end of month.

I had this some time ago. I couldn't jump start it. The Roadside Assistance guy couldn't start it. I had it towed to my dealer. They managed to start it and charged the battery overnight. It hasn't happened since, and its been left for 3 weeks at a time.

Hello all,

I went out to start my Z8 yesterday and it was dead as a doorknob. Any ideas out there? In the past, I've let the car sit for 2-3 weeks at a time with absolutely no problems. This time, the car was sitting for 4 days. I didn't have the phone plugged in and I couldn't see anything "on" in the car.

I bought a trickle charger and will get the car fired up today and drive it a bit to see what happens.

Thank you!
