I think I know what you mean about the sound after you drive it- it sounds like little pinging right? if so Ive had that sound with every BMW Ive had for as long as I can remember. I just think its the engine cooling down.

I dont know about the thing you feel in the seat though.... sorry, wish I could help.

btw- I now have 6500 miles on mine and Id say the engine really opens up around 3500 and it seemed to me that the tires took about 3000 miles to really break in- so the performance just gets better. it now sticks to the road much better than when new and Ive only put miles on it- no "enhancements"...
