In general, with the silver car Id recommend the 3M products and also the zymol. I have no experience with Zaino but I hear great things about it.

Maguires is also excellent and their no 10 and no 17 products are great for removing scratches and polishing the clear plastic rear window- and even the plastic on the dash.

as to frequency- I dont do the complete process (wash, cleaner, wax) that often, maybe 2-3 times a year, but I try to wash the car whenever I can to keep dirt off it.
